Pancakes / パンケーキ。

November 11, 2009

From Monday-Friday, we look forward to our weekend as that’s the only time that truly belongs to us.  To perk myself up, i constantly “encourage” myself by planning the weekends, or rather planning what to eat during the weekends.

Pancakes for you this weekend?

Riders Cafe @ Bukit Timah Saddle Club

I’ve heard much about this place! Finally, we went down for Sunday brunch! Certainly, it will be much easier to reach there by car as it’s quite a bit of distance from the main road. But it’s pretty easy to navigate around. From PIE, look for Eng Neo Avenue, and head for Fairway Drive. It’s a short ride!  While, if you are adventurous enough, you can always walk and who knows, you might be able to hitch a ride? :p

“Is it worth the hassle?” I would say “Yes Definitely!”

I tried to make reservations that morning and it was fully booked. But the staff told me that i could probably try my luck and arrange a table for us when we were there. It was definitely our lucky day as we managed to grabbed a table!

I love the Riders Cafe as it’s situated just beside the Bukit Timah Saddle club which is pretty much a serene place which is away from the bustling city and most importantly, away from work.

As out table is only available for 1.5 hours, we grabbed ourselves a simple meal. Besides the usual poached eggs, scrambled eggs and Benedict eggs. There’s one more food that we always order!

That’s Pancakes!

When we were young, We used to thought the fast-food pancakes were the best! But we grew up exploring more varieties!

Pancakes + Maple Syrup, Toppled with fresh butter certainly makes me a happier girl 🙂

Next time round, we will be back for more! (This time round, i will definitely make the reservation in advance!!~)

      > YL yeah =x Mac one is nice but it tastes very instant! This one is fluffy and on the light side! Stacking Pancakes together just makes me wants to gobble them up all at one go!!
